We are excited to have a number of chickens moving into our chicken house.  We spent last week preparing the house for its new occupants.

The shed had old lumber and different things stored in it so our first project was to relocate that stuff.  It was a very cold day so we took frequent breaks to go back into the house and warm up!  After 3 or 4 truckloads, we finally had it emptied enough that we could get to work fixing the door, windows, and filling up some holes that varments have made over time.  We are looking forward to gaining 40-50 chickens in the next few days and we will begin selling eggs once all the paperwork and the permit is obtained.  We are looking forward to having chickens!
